ABOUT MILLER MOUNTAIN MUSIC
With the release of the “Get Up, Get Out” LP, Miller Mountain Music brings an array of new styles to some classic genres. Lush with beautiful guitar work, an indie yet soulful vocal approach, and Americana undertones throughout, the record boasts the aesthetic of indie folk anthems. Though the songs are diverse from one another, there is a glue that holds them all together, like that of a concept album. Most importantly, the record never loses sight of the story telling platform great songs are built from.

THE GET UP, GET OUT ALBUM
With the release of the “Get Up, Get Out” LP, Miller Mountain Music brings an array of new styles to some classic genres. Lush with beautiful guitar work, an indie yet soulful vocal approach, and Americana undertones throughout, the record boasts the aesthetic of indie folk anthems. Though the songs are diverse from one another, there is a glue that holds them all together, like that of a concept album. Most importantly, the record never loses sight of the story telling platform great songs are built from.
The first single, “You Make Me Happy” is instant singer songwriter classic. With addicting melodies, smooth progressions, and plenty of pop sensibility, the song seems to breathe and build as it plays on.
“It’s rare to find someone special who makes you really happy. Through hard times and good times, I learned that you have to keep that happy feeling alive. This song also lets my audience more know more about a younger me who was anticipating my future.” explains songwriter Matthew Miller of his single.
Although the single does speak volumes for the record, to get a real understanding of where Miller is coming from, it should be heard in its entirety.
“My songs are all written from life experiences. I sing about some of my greatest memories and accomplishments. I wanted the sound of the mandolin and its connection with the mountain feel to be a part of the album as well.” says Miller of the songwriting process for the record.
Having a love and passion for music from a young age, Matthew Miller fell into piano and guitar and writing songs came after living some amazing life experiences. Playing in various country and rock bands over the years was something the songwriter always loved but after some time, he realized it was difficult for 4 or 5 people to all agree on musical ideas. In 2010, he decided to go solo and break off from the band scene. This enabled him to have full musical control to write songs the way he intended. As his musical horizons opened, so did his ability to record himself as he learned the ropes of recording music. “Get Up, Get Out” is a compilation of songs written throughout his life put together and recorded fresh on one album. Once it all came together, Miller Mountain Music was born. The rest, as they say, is history.
Miller has been performing regularly around the greater Colorado area and is always working on new material for upcoming releases.
“Get Up, Get Out” is now available for streaming and downloads on most major digital outlets.
